Master, Supreme Court
Superior Courts Judiciary. The Supreme Court of British Columbia has an opening in Victoria for a Supreme Court Master to be appointed by Order in Council. The incumbent will be resident in Victoria, but will also sit in Nanaimo, Duncan, Campbell River, Port Alberni, Powell River and Courtenay. Supreme Court Masters hear Chambers applications on interlocutory matters (such as amendment of pleadings, addition of parties, production of documents and generally ensure compliance with the Rules of Court); interim family applications (custody, maintenance, and access); and applications in proceedings by way of Petition (foreclosures).

Court Services Online Project
Early this year, the Ministry of Attorney General received a Gold Award at the Premier's Awards for their creation of a new province-wide electronic court registry. It's designed to move Court Services from a paper-based system managed manually, to a streamlined on-line process, available 24 hours a day from anywhere.
